First day of the live course

Day one. There's been a couple of weeks of welcome discussion, with newly enrolled students announcing themselves, and some of us commenting, liking, and replying to others' first posts. Now the course has started in earnest, the welcome discussion has disappeared and we've moved on to the activities and tasks of the course itself.
